Where to Stay in Quirino

Here is a list of accommodation facilities accredited by the Department of Tourism. The list also include homestay facilities – a form of accommodation that the Quirino provincial government is actively promoting, a form of accommodation that allows visitors to stay with a family and see for themselves how Quirinians live.

The Homestay Program of the province is participated in by families who have opened their homes to tourists and who have been trained to provide visitors with the services and amenities they need. One group of homestay providers in Quirino, the Cabarroguis Homestay Association, was awarded the prestigious ASEAN Homestay Standard for CY 2019-2021. This ASEAN standard is designed to encourage tourism industry stakeholders in the member-states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations to further improve their services, especially in terms of sustainable tourism.

The award recognized the Cabarroguis Homestay Association for successfully meeting the standards for quality services to tourists set by the ASEAN for homestays. These standards refer to, among others, the readiness of a community where a tourist attraction is close by to enable tourists to experience authentic local activities/culture; to provide them with a house where they can immerse themselves in the local culture and have a taste of home-living in the locality; and to give them a bedroom where their basic necessities are provided for and where their safety and security are guaranteed all throughout their stay.
